Sophia is a friendly and empathetic person who loves to work closely with individuals to help them become their happiest and healthiest selves. She values a holistic treatment approach, always ensuring that all aspects of a person’s life are considered to deliver the best possible care. She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Melbourne before completing her Master of Physiotherapy Practice at La Trobe University.
Sophia is passionate about helping people return to their chosen sport after illness or injury and strives to work collaboratively with the individual to ensure they return as a stronger, and higher performing athlete. She values an active approach to rehabilitation and enjoys using her pilates foundation to provide effective and innovative exercise programs. She has experience working with women throughout their pregnancy journey and feels incredibly privileged to support women as they enter into motherhood. Sophia can help those with pregnancy-related discomforts find pain relief, as well as continue to safely exercise through their pregnancy and later, their return to exercise post-delivery. Having been a high level swimmer throughout her young life and then working with kids and adolescents throughout her university studies as a tutor, swimming coach and sports trainer, Sophia also enjoys helping young people recover from injury and return to their chosen sports and activities.
Sophia enjoys staying active and particularly loves getting in the pool on a paddle board or on the bike. She also loves spending time in the kitchen getting creative and working on new recipes…especially anything with chocolate in it!
