Kara studied her undergraduate degree at Victoria University before graduating from Deakin University in 2016 where she successfully completed her Masters in Clinical Exercise Physiology. Kara specialises in clinical exercise prescription and the delivery of exercise alongside lifestyle modification to prevent or manage acute, chronic disease or injury. She believes individualised treatment with active engagement (and fun!) is the key to making positive lifestyle changes.
Kara can treat and manage a broad range of conditions but has a strong interest in cancer rehabilitation and the benefits of exercise throughout all stages of cancer management.
As an Exercise Physiologist Kara can treat a broad range of conditions such as Type 2 Diabetes, High Blood Pressure, Asthma, High Cholesterol, Chronic Fatigue, Osteoarthritis, Chronic Low Back Pain, and Osteoporosis, to name a few.
Due to her passion for working with breast cancer patients, Kara has completed further study and is also titled a Breast Cancer EP Specialist. A Breast Cancer EP Specialist is an Accredited Exercise Physiologist who has completed Breast Cancer PD. Breast Cancer PD graduates are equipped with the latest scientific evidence and advanced clinical techniques required to deliver best practice care to people with breast cancer.
